Summary
The events at Crescent Moon Island during the Winter Solstice turn out a little differently. As the volcano erupts thanks to Roku's wrath, chaos consumes the temple, and Sokka tries to save their new ally Shyu, but ends up trapped and collapsing from exhaustion and heat. Drifting between life and death, he dreams of home, playing childhood games with Katara and hearing his mother’s voice, before the dream twists into darkness.
When he wakes, it’s to the face of his supposed enemy: Prince Zuko.
Stranded together on a failing Fire Nation skiff, they’re forced into an uneasy alliance that tests every instinct and belief they’ve ever held.
Just how will Sokka navigate all the obstacles and hardships life throws at him? How much will he have to endure before he runites with Katara?
This series is my love letter to the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. I fell in love with it when it was released back in 2005, and loved it ever since. I intend to rewrite all 3 books of the series with a darker and more mature twist, so join me on this Canon Divergence rewrite!

Summary
Hunter had been created to die.
This was an undeniable fact, and one he’d grown quickly accustomed to.
But when creation outlives the creator, what is it meant to do next? And if said creation is placed into a realm far beyond its reasonable scope, how well can it pick up the pieces?
The answer was ‘not well,’ apparently.
Or,
A look at the life Hunter lives during the months the group spent in the human world.

Summary
Hands are touching Kakashi’s face, solid and human and unfamiliar. Static and tension. It's instinct to move. Protect. He learned a long time ago that only enemies get close enough to touch. Muscle memory pushes Kakashi towards a sudden response. Kill or be killed. In the space of a heartbeat, there’s a kunai at Iruka’s throat, the blade gleaming, deadly sharp, mere inches from his skin. Kakashi gasps.
Kakashi knows what to do with pain better than he knows what to do with tenderness.

Summary
"You think I hate you? You think I'd ever kill you?" Sokka holds Zuko's face in both hands, blood dripping from his lips. "I'd fall on my spear for you. I'd find you anywhere. What do you think that means?"
Rescued, but imprisoned, Zuko finds himself no further from death on a water tribe ship. Sokka, the chief, would see him bleeding out on the boards of the deck as justice. He's a fire bender, the evil of the war that his father rages through their world. Zuko hasn't been a part of that war. Not for years. Now he's thrust back into it against his will, finding himself fighting on a side he never expected to be a part of. Maybe he'll find a cause worth fighting for; someone worth fighting for.

Summary
Zuko’s arms are locked tight around himself, shaking, breath snagging against Sokka’s chest. “Why are you being so nice to me?” he whispers, voice all frayed edges.
Sokka just kisses the corner of his mouth, soft like forgiveness. “Because I love you. And I like being nice to you.”
or, Zuko doesn’t know how to be touched without flinching, doesn’t know what to do with gentleness that asks for nothing back. But Sokka holds him like something sacred—cleans him up, keeps him warm, kisses the trembling out of his spine. Love doesn’t have to be earned here. Not anymore.
