Summary
When espers and guides awaken, they are brought into the System, an authoritarian facet of the military where they are trained and used to close rifts and fight the monsters that rip them open.
Seonghwa is a B class guide who becomes entangled with the Outlaws, a group of high class espers who escaped from the System and seek to destroy it as well as to find the truth of the rifts and their inhabitants.

Hongjoong didn’t flinch at Yunho’s violent display, reverting to his usual inscrutable countenance. “He’s guiding us, Yunho. Hurting him is unavoidable.”Yunho couldn’t refute that simple truth, much as he wanted to continue to fight it. To change the reality that Seonghwa’s time with them would only be intervals of such pain. Over and over and over.
Hongjoong sighed, shaking his head and sliding his palm over the side of his face briefly. “Look, Yunho. This isn’t some competition. Seonghwa is a guide, we’re espers. It’s our job to protect him. All of us.”
Yunho shook his head vehemently, unwilling to accept that bullshit reasoning. “I don’t want to protect him because he’s a guide. I want to protect him because he’s Seonghwa.”

Summary
Yunho has been exiled to work in his boss’s rage room because he’ll go to prison if he gets caught beating anyone else up. Cue pretty-pastely-prostitute Seonghwa who has Yunho’s obsessive and possessive streak coming out in full force.

Yunho watches the CCTV the most intently he ever has, ends up almost enraptured by the man on the screen and what he’s doing with those soft furnishings, with those knives.
It’s one thing to wear an outfit like that, plush thighs on display and all, but it’s another as Yunho watches the man straddle the dirty sofa cushion, thighs on either side of it as he looks down at it like a lover, only to plunge the knife deep into the centre seconds later. He’s laughing maniacally and Yunho is in some sort of trance or hex or fuck knows what because he could watch this forever. The knife goes over his head and is brought back down repeatedly, stabbing continuously and hacking away at the material.

Summary
Sure, it’s weird as all hell that Yunho doesn’t seem the slightest bit perturbed or upset over the fact that Seonghwa singlehandedly blew up their friendship, but Seonghwa is so deep in his self-deprecation that he isn’t above believing that Yunho must have forgotten about him entirely. Seonghwa left, Yunho stayed. Yunho is all homegrown cuteness, tanned and smiley with a splash of hardened angst from having a tortured past, and Seonghwa is… a fucking mess. Nothing cute about it.
