for years, leo has never felt comfortable in his own shell, his own skin. ever since he was young, he couldn't figure it out. not until donnie had finally gained access to the internet, did he finally understand what was wrong with him.
at first, he was confident in discovering himself, and quickly worked up a plan to tell the others, but few comments from different websites got into his mind.
'it's in the person's mind, they're doing it for attention. they're mentally unwell. nobody wants a freak in their family.'
so, despite leo, and his family, being literal mutants hiding in the sewers, his anxiety rose about coming out.
what if he was a freak? what if his family, his brothers never accepted him?
luckily for him, he always overthought every single situation, even when he masked it so well.
