“Oh.” She mumbled to the silent room. Still, she couldn’t help but be surprised. When Emmett had originally quipped about not sleeping since 1992, she had laughed along for what felt like the first time since starting school. Yet within a few weeks of his mentorship, she wondered how much of a joke that had been.
Emmett falls asleep during a study session. Elle tucks him in. Cuteness ensues.

a rewrite of a fic by the same name i wrote/orphaned when i was SIXTEEN while ill with COVID!!!!!!! for this freak of an alien man who i love and adore. if you remember coffee time with g-man then that was the original inspo for the og fic. also heavily influenced from my own source as a fictive :-)also im struggling to write again (brain frog from covid but also dyslexia) so if you have any GENTLE criticisms lmk i'd like to hear them ^_^ and yea i am working on the timeloop postal fic. i have two more chapters basically finished for that series :D

Gordon felt isolated, which was impossible because there were always other people around him. He was flooded with a constant influx of information at every turn while he was stuck in the depths of Black Mesa, but some of it seemed off. Maybe it was how extraordinary the situation was. Not everybody had aliens attacking them at every corner.
Or maybe none of it was real.
Loosely based off the multiplayer au by thecryptidcorvid on tumblr.
