Summary
Persephone has always been and always will be a daughter. Demeter died a mother. This is their great tragedy and it changes nothing: Persephone is a simply a motherless child. Demeter fought for Persephone before she learned to fight for herself, before she learned that she could or that she should. Demeter did not flinch when Hades' blood stained her daughter's hands. Persephone misses someone who won't flinch away from her. She misses her mother.
Except, maybe this time, all that is gone is not lost. In which Demeter's eidolon has been kept safe and dormant, unknowingly, within Persephone. A mother and a daughter reunited.
