    Summary

Coco’s heart thunders in her chest. Something is going to break through that wall, she thinks hysterically.
She would rather be going mad than believe that something in this house — the house she travelled halfway across the world to for shelter — is hunting her. Because that is what it feels like; she is a small animal hiding from a terrible beast.

A ship carries a solitary young woman across the ocean to an unfamiliar country. She is an exile, in more ways than one, and seeks the help of a witch and the shelter of his manor. But although he takes her in from the cold the witch has his own secrets and his own ghosts. And there is something in his manor that creeps in the night and Coco is half-sure it is even more dangerous than the past she is running from.

The ghosts of Qifrey's atelier are hungry.

    Summary

“You know,” Olruggio says, roughly. He doesn’t move to take Qifrey’s hand again. “You know. You can’t not know, Qifrey.”

Qifrey just looks at him. “I do.”

    The rain continues falling.

(And so Olruggio forgets. And he inevitably figures it out again, because of course he does; and he inevitably chooses to forget again, and again, and again, because his heart is always the same. The story is always the same. Like a tale from under a silverwood tree, like a myth from the days of old, not so much tied by the constraints of the narrative so much as being narrative itself. Antigone must bury her brother. Iphigenia must be put to death. At a thousand turns, in a thousand ways, Orpheus must turn, and he must look, again, and again.

    And Olruggio forgets.)

There is an old story about a witch and a silverwood tree.

    Summary

''My dear Beldaruit, would you not say this is ever so exciting?'' The king had this drunken slur in his tone now which made him seem like he already planned this whole ordeal.

The older wise mage paid no heed to the young king, for he was perplexed and awry. Too bewildered to comprehend.

Such a thing had not occurred since the days of Yore. The whole notion is absurd. A Wise Witch and the Supreme King of Peninsula getting married? Surely one must jest; unfortunately it was as real as the sky blues.

    Or

After Silver Eve the King bows before the witches in front of his kingdom. To wrap up the situation before it escalates, and ensure stability between the two, Lagrah suggest marriage. Beldaruit begrudgingly accepts and the bewildered King has no reason to deny.
Somewhere farway a tea cup shatters as a certain disciple receives the news of his Master's wedding.
