Izuku wants to be taken care of. He wants to let Katsuki hold him tight and wipe his tears. Hand him a needle and ask him to stitch his heart back together with the red thread that Izuku imagines connecting their pinkies. With comfort and homemade meals and the warmth of his hand.
It’s a pipedream.
“I’m going to be okay.”
“Idiot, I thought I told you that you don’t have to do shit on your own again. Partners, remember?” he says. “You can’t get rid of me. Till death do us apart, and all that crap.”
Katsuki doesn't have a clue about the things Izuku feels for him, and Izuku intends to keep it that way for as long as he can.

It doesn't go at all like he expected. No surprise there.

Why did Bakugou Katsuki want more of Midoriya Izuku?
He didn’t deserve him; he’s always known that. And if Izuku was asked what he thought about his relationship with Katsuki, he would smile softly and shrug, simply stating that he was too blessed to have it where it is today… and that… that knowledge wounded Katsuki like no other. He would rather face All For One again, he would rather have himself on death's door than hear that what they had was enough.
Why was he the only one that was having these conflicting thoughts?
(Or, the five times Katsuki almost kisses Izuku, and the one time Izuku kisses him.)
