His mind becomes even more numb as he approaches the cliff, he looks just over the edge, the heavy waters that splash against the stone greeting him, calling him.
He takes another step forwards onto the wooden plates that are held up by the supporting beam, his feet are dangerously close to the edge.
“Hiccup?”
He whips his head around as a familiar voice calls his name
“Astrid” his tired voice replies
“What are you doing, Hiccup?” She asks, the worry evident in her tone
“Just Uhm...” he looks behind him and his eyes land on the boats that are almost ready for departure “looking at the boats”
They both know that’s a lie.
