The second half of s08 presented a scene, repeated in each episode, where Dany opens herself to Jon. And without fail, he refuses her every time for no good reason. It's not that he made a choice and stuck to it, but that he seemed unable to make one. And if he was meant to be conflicted, they never invested the time in showing that.
