'The human probe arrived twenty earth years into Grace’s life on Erid.
As self-proclaimed ‘second contact’, the probe announced that a human delegation would be sent to Erid, and contained detailed notes and data of how they would survive in our environment. They knew nothing of what we had made for Grace, of the biodome and the xenonite suits. Instead, they had come up with their own method of adjusting to life on Erid. Of a deep, cultural exchange.
It was ingenious. It was crazy. It was human to the core of it. I was only a little jealous that we hadn’t thought of it first.'

So what if there is no astrophage but there is a different sort of crisis going on, not space related. So our story starts when Courage the Cowardly (Stratt’s) Dog Ryland Grace saves the world in a different scenario, is very traumatised about it, and has the world's weirdest meet cute with Rocky.
“Wait, why do I know you?” The guy says. “Your face seems familiar.”
He stares at me, a gust of wind bouncing a lock of his hair against his forehead. The hair is very persistent.
“Wait, are you Doctor Ryland Grace? The staggering waste of carbon guy?” He does a very unflattering impression of me.
I nod because yes, that’s me and my evergreen legacy. I’ve managed to forget about that one. Oh boy. Can I just implode? Can I just leave the planet? The panic attack is looming in my temples, my throat, my stomach. It feels inevitable. I try to take measured, slow breaths.
“You look different though”
‘Yeah I uh … changed my hair’ I get out and make a sound, something between a laugh and a sob. And that does it, I’m fully in hysterics, loud, garbled, hysterical giggles push their way out of my mouth.

“Gosh…” I whispered, pushing my hair off my forehead and looking up at Rocky with what I could only assume were… “f-me” eyes with my lips kiss swollen and my glasses sliding down my nose.
I trusted him. I’d never trusted another being so much in my entire life. I depended on him. We loved each other. I wanted him. And if he said that Adrian approved then I was stupid to say no.
I took Rocky’s face in my hands and kissed him properly, my hips rolling against his as we found our rhythm through the clothing. It felt a little forced at first, but he was a fast learner and I was more than willing to adjust to what he needed. He nipped my bottom lip aggressively and I laughed into the kiss, even if it was a little bit too hard. How very un-Rocky like…

OR: An Eridian cult leader kidnaps Grace and uses Rocky’s human body to abuse and break Ryland a little bit at a time. All the while Rocky and Adrian scramble to track him down before irreparable damage is done.

The Savior, known as ‘Dr. Ryland Grace’, is currently… expressing intimacy… with the Survivor. ‘Rocky’, as the Savior calls them. Observing feels blasphemous.
