"I'm… having trouble sleeping," Akira admitted lowly, kicking at a pebble beneath his shoe. "In general."
He glanced up as the silence hung a moment too long, ready for his dismissal, and saw an internal war taking place behind Akechi's eyes instead.
Finally, "Come with me." and Akechi turned on a heel and marched away.
Akira blinked, caught off guard. Akechi didn't turn to check Akira was doing as tasked, so sure that he would. Akira smiled fondly. Akechi's choice surprised him, but it was far from unwelcome.
He jogged to catch up, settling at Akechi's side. He didn't even think to ask where Akechi was leading him, just… content to be at his side again.

Summary
Over the course of the past year, Miko Iino and Yuu Ishigami have been by one another's side for every moment. Through tears, laughter, and everything in between, the 2 of them have been cultivating their relationship and growing as people the entire way through.
Despite their mutual feelings, whether it be because of their pride, anxiety, insecurities, miscommunication, or anything in between, neither of them has gotten even an inch closer to a confession!
And so we start our story right where it leaves off (right after chapter 278), albeit with a slight change. Rather than half a year, only A month has passed and the student council has just acquired 3 new members. On the surface, it looks as though they are only there to marvel at their senpais from afar, but could they be the push that our heroes needed to take their first renewed steps towards a confession? And so, having inherited far more than they needed to from their predecessors, the curtain rises on the second war of love and brains.

Summary

After the cheeky ending of chapter 278, I just had to see a continuation to the story of these two. And since there wasn't enough content covering it, I decided to write some myself! Here's hoping this will quench your Ishimiko thirst! (Last fan book's not canon to this fic, sorry.)
Things have been very busy for me due to irl business. However, as of June 2025, I assure you I have far from abandoned it!
