Senbazuru is the ancient Japanese practice of folding 1,000 paper cranes to get a wish granted. It’s thought that the reason the wish gets granted isn’t because of the cranes themselves, but instead because of the patience and hard work that gets displayed while folding.
That is to say, all things worth wishing for are just as worth working for.
