(This started as a bit of indulgent hurt/ comfort, only to become a massive story involving murder, conspiracies, execution, Stormscience, offworld travel, spren politics, and the unforseen effects of simple compassion. It also provides real consequences for certain major canonical decisions that seemed to be swept under the rug.

Summary

While Rin, Obito, and Kakashi might be responsible for their predicament, they certainly didn't mean for it to turn out like this.
