yes yes absolutely yes I love the inter house unity and the humongous friend group between all the characters
Not to mention the fact that certain characters are left ALIVE!!! I love this version of the story so much so far and I think I’ll continue to in the last two books!!
(Spoilers ahead)
As of book 5: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the slow burn between Draco & Harry and the implementation of the supporting characters in their dynamic. ESPECIALLY Narcissa. Im also really enjoying the conflicting feelings around Lucius, because while he did resurrect Voldemort, I can feel the potential for a slight redemption. Nothing that would save him from Azkaban of course.. but enough to sooth poor Draco’s soul about his dad. (I also just love the Malfoy Family art that this author makes and I yearn for Lucius to come to his senses..)
Because it had been so long since I read the last four books, I was afraid that I would forget important plot points, however I found it was easy to pick right back up in book 5. I loved every bit of the plot for this book— especially the fact that the big dark secret of the journal has finally been revealed AND Harry’s horcrux problem was dealt with early which makes me nervous for the deathly hallows knowing he can’t come back anymore! Brilliant job with the addition of the completely original scene on the train and don’t even get me started on the mutiny of Umbridge!!! I love the slytherins doing their own secret mission to destroy her from the inside while the rest of the houses just have to hold out hope.
All in all, amazing series so far and I can’t wait for book 6.
