Despite all the huge strides in alpha/omega pride over the last few decades, despite the new legal protections and parades and pride matches, despite there even being athletes from other sports who had come out - there still isn't a single known alpha in the MLH. And obviously, it goes without saying that there are no omegas.

Presumed beta Ilya Rozanov unexpectedly goes into his first heat at age seventeen, forcing him into a life of hiding in order to be able to play the sport he’d built his life around; the sport that could be his ticket out of Russia and away from his family that hates him.
