Odysseus half-stood, half-leaned against the prow of the ship. Perhaps he ought to have been worried about the possibility falling into the water from his usual position, due to his current state and dizziness. Perhaps he would have been, had he been able to think clearly through the dark clouding in his mind.
“Captain?”
“What?” Odysseus didn’t have the strength to bother turning back to face whoever had addressed him- that would mean having to let go of the wood that was supporting him.
“I think you should take a break.”When Odysseus falls ill, he tries to push through, to tough it out, to ignore the pain.
But Polites is none too pleased at Odysseus' treatment of himself, so he takes matters into his own hands. -

“No…” He said again, with less force. Vaguely, he could tell that his body tried to run to the building. He felt a disconnected touch pull him back by the shoulder, heard someone hiss a warning to him through the ringing in his ears, going on and on, growing louder and louder…As Spook pushes past his limits, flaring tin beyond what his body is capable of, he is found by a kind-hearted yet no-nonsense woman who recognizes his struggle immediatley. Being the overprotective self-proclaimed aunt to all children and teens that she is, she is resolved to help him.
