Summary
Heather hates when they fight, it always ends up ruining her day. She’s patient and long-suffering, but once she’s provoked, she needs a solid five business days to get over it. Robby knows this. So whenever a big fight breaks out, he immediately springs into action, doing everything he can to make things right –flowers, apologies, dinners, the whole nine yards – because he hates not having her affection.
While those gestures help soften her exterior, nothing works better than a hug from him. His big, strong arms wrap around her from behind, and her body usually tenses at his initial touch because she is still mad. But that tension only lasts a moment. She feels safe and loved in his arms, which makes it impossible to stay angry.
He kisses the spot just behind her ear – the one that always makes her weak – and she melts into him. It pisses her off that his touch can undo her like that… but she welcomes it anyway.

Heather wandered in ahead of him, barefoot on the warm coral floor, wearing a flowing white linen dress that fluttered around her legs like sea foam. Her small afro was accessorized with delicate white flowers that caught the sunlight. She turned slowly in place, her eyes glistening with wonder.
"Is this real life?" she asked, grinning.
