During his club days, when he was always allowing himself to be whisked away in random hotels for nights on end with strange older men, he’d always liked when they’d get the rooms with the huge windows, so afterwards in the middle of the night Ian could slip out of the bed and stare down at the city for hours. While the view had always been entrancing, Ian almost grows sick from the memories - still fresh and visceral, like an open wound inside his head - of just how suffocatingly lonely it’d felt. He’d felt so distanced from real people, like he was being allowed to look at a world he was no longer able to touch.
“I think you owe me more since you put it in.” Mickey mumbles, most likely for the sole purpose of annoying Ian, which it does.

Summary
On a mission to a Galra prison ship, Keith and Lance accidentally acquire a half-Galra baby. They and the rest of Voltron have to work out a way to get her back to her mysterious home planet-- and Lance takes it on himself to make sure she’s cared for in the meantime. Unfortunately for him, she seems to like Keith much better.

John Dory aimed his grappling hook out the window. “Big Bro going Solo! Yolo!” he said, saluting with two fingers. He turned to fly out of the window, ready to leave forever, but he froze, his tail stilling. Something set off his freeze reflex.
“What, got cold paws?” Spruce scoffed, arms folded over his bare chest.
“No…” JD replied slowly, not sure what got his attention until he looked higher up, his eyes catching on some movement.
“What in the Muses are you looking at?” Spruce asked with a frown, marching over and leaning into JD’s space to look out the window too. JD silently pointed a finger from the hand still not holding the grapple and it took Spruce a second to see, his hair freezing up like his brothers’. “...that's a giant.”

Keith looks between the children and the hat, too confused to glare, sweaty and horrid from pulling weeds beneath the scorching sun. “What?”
“That’s wrong,” Nadia complains, and yanks her brother down to her level to whisper the correction in his ear.
“Ooh,” Silvio amends. “Tía Veronica said you have a pale ass. My Abuela said you’re gonna die.”
OR
When Lance is fatally wounded during their final battle, the blue lion enters a deep hibernation with Lance inside. Unsure when or if he’ll wake, Keith is forced to wait and watch over him in the company of the people he fears most: Lance’s family.
