"Yes." Kris pressed her hand against their chest. They were shaking. Out of fear, or desperation, she didn’t know. “S’fine. It’s okay.”
Kris burned like a charred pan straight out of the oven, or an oil fire. Susie reeled away. “You—you were trying to set me up,” Susie accused, trying to edge words around the chasm opening in her gut. “You were trying to get me to hit you.”
Kris wants Susie to hurt them. They need her to hurt them. Susie isn't as on board with the idea as they are.

A modern day college (n' sometimes high school) AU, set in The Sunflower State. It's about growing up, friends & family, trauma & healing, and all those other Mother themes we know n' love. Exploring how these characters might mature as people and process real world problems, if freed from the constraints of Nintendo RPGs with cataclysmic stakes. Expect grounded non-magical spins on events from the games, some variety in presentation & tone between fics, and a whole lotta fast food. Named for that one fic, the first one. And how getting back into my favorite game series threw me into an extended creative intermission the way Kumatora throws a punch - which is to say kinda clumsily but with great exuberance.
These fics are all written to work as standalone pieces, and can be read in any order. If you start on a later entry, or if you only read one or some of 'em, you won't be missing any crucial context. I just like to keep 'em all organized in the same thrift store bargain bin. 🌻
