I have a lot of largely negative opinions about Taylor Swift, but I felt the metaphor to be prudent. The original title was inspired by a Taylor Swift lyric, so this too will be a reference to her. It was hard to connect the hesitant hedgehog with the adversary described by Knuckles and Tails and even Tom during that first hospital visit after everything. This creature was scared, unused to a gentle touch, expecting harm at every turn even if he hid it well. This was no monster, this was a child.
