It was empty now.
Emptier then he'd ever remembered it being.
There were memories tied to every square inch of this place. Sam's laughter from the front yard, clothes soaked as Michael sprayed him down with the hose. His mothers attempt at gardening in the back, the flowers still wilted where they remained in abandoned plots.
He could almost smell his mothers cooking wafting out from the kitchen, humming and incredibly off tune singing accompanying it. The oil stains from the very first time he worked on a bike he'd picked up from the junkyard, the panic that had coursed through his veins as he struggled to clean it before his parents got up.
The slamming of doors, the force of it nearly rattling them off their hinges. Dishes crashing against walls, shattering into too many pieces to count. The screaming, the yelling, the complaints as another dinner went cold on the mahogany table. The smell of beer staining the carpet, glass bottles tinkling as they were thrown away after a particularly bad night.
If this move was supposed to be a fresh start, then they wouldn't be moving to Santa Carla with /him/.

Summary
Red’s first day at Auradon Prep ends in disaster when her mother, the Queen of Hearts, launches an attack. After her failure, she is dragged away to prison leaving Red alone and guilt ridden.
Red’s best friend and tutor, Maddox, convinces her to return to school and find who she truly is. In order to ease Red, he sends Max, his anxious, but gentle son who’s never been away from Wonderland. Together both teens do their best to survive unfamiliar territory, each forming unexpected bonds. Red slowly falls for strong willed Chloe, while Max lets his walls down for the kind hearted Luis.
Everything is looking positive for the Wonderland kids, but a visit to Red’s mother changes everything. Over time, Red becomes obsessed with fixing the past and stopping her mother from ever becoming evil. After finding Maddox’s secret pocket watch one mistake shatters their reality.
Now two alternate worlds collide, and familiar faces aren’t so familiar.
