Imagine the vision powers as a muscle. It gets stronger with training, but your arm cannot lift a car no matter how much you train. Same with the magic physics-breaking muscle (otherwise some of these powers would be too OP...) Each vision holder can break a specific law of nature, and each elemental identity may be described within a larger scientific framework.
