Summary
Sequel to "Beyond the End of the Tunnel"
After escaping Houtou Castle, Sanzo and the remaining ikkou regroup at Kouten Castle. Sanzo battles his own demons, his heart, and many foes. Healing from trauma takes time, and new wounds are just as likely to form as scars.
This sequel will wrap up the story and take a lengthy word count to get there. You're in for a final showdown like we could only hope and dream for in the manga. Will they all die as prophesied?
It's still a WIP, I will finish it, but no promises on how quickly.

"Sanzo is captured and is being held at a prison outpost under command of Houtou Castle. Kougaiji, being the man of conscious he is and knowing Sanzo will be tortured, charges Yaone to care for him. What begins as a simple and mostly one sided doctor-patient relationship turns into more as they begin to realize they care about each other more than enemies should. Experience Sanzo and Yoane being the total badasses they are, and Nii being the total evil jerk he is. Love is a complicated and multi-sided facet where the Saiyuki character's are concerned. Can Sanzo survive all Nii has in store for him? And what connection does Nii have to Sanzo that would drive him to such heinous acts?"
Mostly Sanzo and Yaone POV + other's POVs. Characters are kept well represented and hopefully not OOC. Mostly canon with some variances. Begins sometime after manga reload gunlock. Content warnings posted per chapter. Weak constitutions be warned! This fic is not for the faint of heart. Nii is a completely evil M**F**er in this fic (believe me, you will cringe if you have a soul).

Summary
There, sitting on the edge of Alastor's bed, legs lazily crossed with one hand splayed out behind him, is Lucifer. His expression is strangely inscrutable, and Alastor despises the way it crawls down over him, taking in every loathsome detail of the humiliating state he's found himself in.
"Get out," he rasps—because there's no use asking how he got in. There probably isn't a single place in Hell that could keep Lucifer out if he put his mind to it. "Or are you enjoying the view that much?"
"Honestly?" Though Lucifer does not exactly smile, a dark shadow of amusement dances across his face before being replaced by something more resigned, almost disappointed. "Not as much as I thought I would. It's kind of pathetic, actually."
Alastor hadn't wanted anyone to see him like this, least of all Lucifer.
