Dmitry glanced up, pausing from where he was unlacing his skates. What the fuck could in the conversation possibly have possibly led to this?
He glanced at Rozanov, who'd been smirking and teasing Wyatt only a second earlier. Now, his mouth was firmly shut. All the rest of the team stared at Rozanov.
Wyatt laughed. "Oh my God, Roz I don't even know what he said but you are so damn whipped!"
"One word from the husband and he shuts up!" Bood crowed.
Chouinard jumped in. "Yeah, what the hell did you say to shut him up that quickly, Hollzy?"
(4 times shane was less boring than people thought. including hickeys, never have i ever, being in the room next door to them at a hotel, and a russian rookie)

“Thanks for cleaning up out here, I know there are things you’d rather do than clean up after us,”
Rozanov laughed and kissed Shane. “Yes, I do not like playing maid for Boiziau and Pike. But I know you will stress if it is not done, so I do it. Go, relax.”
In response, Shane melted into Rozanov. Shit, JJ could understand why. That was actually romantic as fuck. Damn, Rozanov.

“So,” Ilya says, dragging the word out. He’s swiping at non-existent crumbs on the counter, avoiding his eyes. “You have dinner at parents on Christmas, yes?”
“Yeah.”
Ilya nods. “I can house-sit while you are away. Make place pretty, if you have decorations. Make it less boring.”
Shane’s eyebrows fly up. “What? You don’t want to come with?”
Finally, Ilya looks up at him. Hesitantly, he asks, “You want me to come with?”
Frowning, Shane says, “I– yeah. Yeah, of course. You think I invited you here just so you could spend Christmas alone?”
Looking away, Ilya shrugs. “I am intruder here, Hollander. You have family. I do not. Makes situation… difficult, maybe. You forget the world thinks we are rivals.”
“Not difficult,” Shane says immediately. “You want to come, you’re coming.”
Or: Ilya's in Montreal alone during the week leading up to the Winter Classic. Shane doesn't let him spend Christmas alone.
