Summary
Almost half of all life on earth is parasitic, so it’s not the most surprising thing for ghost-studying scientists to discover that the ghost zone has its own parasites. Ghostly parasites, that like human world ones, partake in host manipulation that results in the host dying to perpetuate its own life cycle. Some parasites get this done by controlling the host’s body, while some prefer different, more subtle methods. Like tricking the host into believing that the only woman in the world that could make him happy is the ghost hunter who left him to die in the hospital without a second thought.
Now that Vlad is free from his, what will he do with that freedom?
And how will Danny take it when his nemesis just decides to quit out of the blue?

Identity reveals are a terrible idea. Horrible, no-good, very bad... and yet... Danny convinces Vlad to reveal their Halfa statuses to his parents before Christmas, in an attempt to have a shot at an actually decent holiday for once.
Where Vlad was fully expecting rejection, he finds himself instead on the receiving end of support and affection, and is honestly a little unsure of how to react.

They remained at arms' length, and all others a football field's distance. The one exception was Valerie Gray. Her words drew him closer, yet the Huntress' guns kept them apart. He needed to find a way to bridge the divide, and quickly, because an electronic plague burned through Amity Park, and they'd made a hasty alliance to put it out.
Valerie's double life continued to vex her, her work as Huntress made more difficult by Phantom's interference. Then, stability came in the form of a mind-melding upgrade to her suit. It responds to her every whim, its power strengthening with every passing day. Serendipitous, because a ghost curse was spreading through town like ink through water, transforming every piece of technology into a potential adversary. Pulled between her hatred of ghosts and her growing affection for Phantom, she might just destroy her new partner, if her suit doesn't do it first.
