I really don’t mind it at all.” Vergil manages to grapple him into a sort of headlock, and he leans down to speak directly into his ear. “Dante had his reservations probably because. Well.” His voice dips into a bit of a growl. "He's not your father, is he?”
Vergil figures out there's a first of Nero’s he can still take for himself. After all, there are some things that only a father can do for his son.

It's me, Vergil thinks smugly, and turns to look at Dante, but the words startle to a halt in his throat when he sees that Dante has gone pale as a sheet. Confused, he looks back at the demon.
On second glance, it’s not him. The man looks young, his hair is down in a style Vergil has never worn, and he’s wearing red, which Vergil abhors.
Wait a second.
It hadn’t registered because he looked quite different when Vergil had known him on the surface, but it clicks all at once. A second glance at Dante's stricken expression confirms it.
“Dante.” He can hardly get the syllables out, his vocal cords tight with rage.
Dante looks like he’s about to shit himself. “H-hold on, Vergil, I can explain…”
Dante and Vergil encounter an unexpected obstacle in the circle of Lust.

Dante is his dad. That much he's sure of. It makes sense age wise, appearance wise, even demonic-side wise, and Dante sure as hell treats him like a son, which would be a great thing if it wasn't for the fact that Nero has spent weeks jerking off to the thought of Dante.

"Apologies, Lord Lannister," Ser Duncan says, his voice steady, tone stern. Aerion has to, embarrassingly enough, go on his tiptoes to catch a look at his profile, and his face seems confident, not at all intimidated by the annoyed gaze Lannister throws him. "Prince Maekar was very clear that no one was to touch Prince Aerion without his explicit consent."
Lord Lannister makes a complicated face, as if he can't quite understand the words out of Ser Duncan's mouth. "Pardon me? No, Prince Maekar wants his son wed within the year. All of the Seven Kingdoms has heard it by now. If he expects no one to touch him, he might as well lock him in his chambers and lose the key!"
Aerion steps forward as white-hot anger flashes in his veins; he moves, intending to beat this puny little lord's insolence to a bloody pulp, but Ser Duncan throws an arm out and forcibly shoves Aerion back behind him, a warning growl on his lips.
Lord Lannister freezes. Aerion freezes. Ser Duncan stays relaxed.
