Summary
Bato, confirmed bachelor, heartthrob of the Southern Water Tribe (self-proclaimed), and prankster extraordinaire, lives an easygoing life of freedom.
He is perfectly happy with this setup. He does not want responsibilities. He does not want children. In fact, under no circumstance does he ever, ever want to be a father.
Sadly for him his best friend is Hakoda, who is determined to make his life as difficult as possible.
Asshole.
Bato’s journey through fatherhood as Zuko’s dad, one painstaking step at a time. Including (but not limited to) taking baths, fending off boys, and dealing with the misfortune of being friends with Hakoda.

Summary
“I really won’t take it personally if you want someone else here,” Trent murmurs. “Not that I want to go, Ted, but—everyone told me to give you their best wishes. The only reason Coach Beard didn’t come with me is that Roy needed him around to finish up the day.”
“I’d like you to stay,” Ted tells him, which is so hard to say it makes him nauseous.
“Then I will.” Like it’s that easy. Ted sniffs again. He wipes at his face with the back of his hand and grimaces. Trent produces a packet of Kleenex from god knows where—and then, instead of handing it to Ted to clean his own damned face like an adult, he leans in and wipes at his cheeks and beneath his eyes, face twisted in concentration.
"Afraid I'm ruining all your efforts," Ted tells him as more tears stream down his face. He feels cracked open. "Shit, Trent. I'm sorry. I'm sure this wasn't what you were expecting."
"I can't say it was," Trent says, still dabbing at Ted's face with the patience and gentleness that comes only from having an emotional toddler, "but I'm glad I came either way. Now sit tight for a moment."

Summary
Sokka does a shitty k turn in the parking lot across from the bus station, pulls up to the curb where the boy is looking determinedly at his phone, and rolls down the passenger window. “Hey! Which way were you going?” He may die, but at least his conscience will be clear.
The guy blinks at him.
“Don’t.”
Oh, he’s prickly.

Or: the hitchhiker au, featuring Sokka and Zuko falling in love without even realizing it.

Summary
“I’m always mean,” Zuko says, his chest heaving, though he’s clearly melting under Sokka’s mouth. Sokka supposes that’s how it all started; one summer visit years ago, observing Zuko struggling to reign in his temper, and coyly suggesting a different method of release after a sexually charged sparring session. Now, he’s the only one who knows how to effectively defuse Firelord Zuko’s, often explosive if provoked, anger.
