Everyone in the office stares. This is possible because, with the exception of the bathrooms and Gao Shide’s office, all of the walls in this fucking hipster’s paradise are made of transparent glass. And so everyone in the office can look in and see, and gape, as the CEO of Hua Cing brings Vice President Zhou coffee like Vice President Zhou is such a spoilt brat that he demands C-level executives cater to his every whim.
Shuyi looks at the coffee. Looks out the wall of the conference room at all of the open mouths and wide eyes in the main office space. Tilts his head and looks at Gao Shide, who is standing beside him, hands tucked casually into his trouser pockets, smiling, looking for all the world like the cat who got the cream.
Well, fuck him. Shuyi takes his coffee black anyway.
