'Look, Tom.. it's.. it's a mistletoe..' Harry raises a weak finger above them. And sure enough, it was there, dangling a few feet low from the ceiling. He hiccups, covering his mouth and giggling.
'Well.. you know what they do.. under the mistletoe right?' Tom grins mischievously, though it was uncharacteristically much less sharper than his usual grin. It felt softer, somehow.
'Obviously. Pucker up, Tom!' Harry laughs, throwing his head back with as he continues to giggle. He wipes a few tears from his eyes, 'Hahh.. I'm just kidding.'
'Oh?' Tom smiles, raising an eyebrow. 'You.. were, were you..'
'Y-yeah..' Harry hiccups again, 'I don't think.. you- err.. fancy snogging me right now, do you?'
'Maybe I do.'
In which Tom tries to be more straightforward about his feelings, and causes Harry to spiral into deep denial.
