Summary
Following the events after The Calvary Has Arrived, the batch find themselves adjusting to their new lives. Settling into their new home, roles, and places amongst the island community each will be faced with a new challenge of growth for this uncharted next chapter of life.
The fight might be over for them, but a new mission is just beginning. Left with four displaced force sensitive kids rescued from Tantis, the batch does all that they can to help find the children’s families. In the meantime Hunter quickly learns just how different yet equally challenging this lifestyle will be. The last place he expects to find reinforcements is from someone he met during his darkest days from his recent past he tries not to dwell on. What he did while searching for Omega doesn’t matter now. She’s home, and he will do everything in his power to give her the childhood she deserves.
Crosshair, haunted by his past actions and service to the empire isn’t so sure he is cut out for his brother’s new mission. Saving Omega was one thing, but raising kids? Retirement is proving more difficult than he allowed himself to plan for. Distancing himself from his family, he struggles with who he was, and what he should become.
