Summary
Liadan Ciura was born and raised a hunter, expected to die long before she ever got the chance to get old. She nearly did, only to be saved by a vampire.
Alexei was turned to be his line's shade- something like a vampiric spymaster- except there's something wrong about him, something that seems like an unusual weakness. A hunter would help, except the one he got life debted to him is a horrible masochistic murder gremlin who may or may not be actively suicidal.
And also if his maker wasn't a hypersexual narcissist who's taken both a fresh interest in Alexei himself and his new acquisition.
