Hwang Hyunjin had never needed to sink to such lows. “What’s your name?” the human asks, perhaps knowing that Hyunjin looks terrified and is trying to satiate him. He’s using a gentle tone with him, but Hyunjin can practically sense his deep voice vibrating the air around them.
“What’s it to you?” Hyunjin scowls. “Give me your name first.”
He hears—no, feels an awkward chuckle surround him. “I’m not giving you my name, but you can hear what it is. It’s Jisung.”
As if this situation isn’t bad enough, the human—Jisung—knows how fairy deals work. Great. There went his backup plan to trick him. He wonders if he has enough magic for plan C: trap him in a fairy ring, then realizes…no. Not as long as his wings are in this state of disrepair.
The fairy sighs. “I’m Hyunjin. Just…be careful.”
