For the exchange program to work they needed a human that wasn't too weak or easily scared, someone who was used to some type of danger and chaos so of course picking someone of the most dangerous city on the states sounded like a pretty good idea.
"Should I be worry about the fact that literal hell is more safer than my city?" Asked Davina while sharpening her knife.
"Yes, you should. And From where did you even get a knife?" Asked Lucifer raising an eyebrow.
"I'm from Gotham I always have a knife just in case"

Finding yourself short a self defense guide against demons and your only protection being an unhelpful bodyguard that wants nothing to do with you - you turn to magic.
You've never once casted a spell in your life but in this place where nearly anything can happen you think, shit, maybe you can learn a little magic and get yourself through the year.

A/N: This was originally supposed to be a five chapter precursor fic to another fic I was writing but I had so much fun exploring what might've happened if MC had harnessed their powers early on in their first year and how that might've effected things so now here's this. I hope you enjoy!
