"Kunikida??" There was a small shake coming from his shoulder.
"Hm?" Sleep heavy eyes open, looking to his side. The room was dark and quiet. It must've been after hours.
"You fell asleep at your desk again." Dazai hummed, resting his chin on top of Kunikida's head and wrapping his arms around his shoulders. "Are you doing alright?"
"Ah… yes. I've just been tired, Dazai." Kunikida relaxed, letting Dazai cuddle up to him just like a cat would.
"How come?" The nullist questioned, holding his partner a little bit closer. "Don't tell me you're dealing with nightmares again." His voice seemed concerned, gently caressing Kunikida's blonde hair.
"It's not that. I'm just having trouble staying asleep, y'know?" Kunikida leaned back, basking in his partner's warmth.
"Well~ you can always stay with me or vice versa." Dazai smiled, placing a soft kiss on the blonde's forehead. "You're always welcome at my place, you have the key." He fixed Kunikida's glasses.
"I know. I might have to take you up on that opportunity." He chuckled, getting enough strength to stand up.

"God damnit! It's been a month, President, and we're giving up looking for him?! He's still out there alive and I know that! He doesn't give up so easily! How does nobody care! He's the backbone of this damn agency and we're giving up on him like that? You have to be shitting me right now!" Dazai’s fingers shoved into the papers on Fukuzawa’s desk. He was fuming.
Fukuzawa cleared his throat, sitting his cup of tea down on his desk. "You and I both know the first twenty-four hours are the most vital to find someone alive. It's been a month, Dazai. Our chances are slim.” Dazai could feel his eye twitch and anger bubble in his gut.“Maybe it’s slim for the average person, but Kunikida is not the average person! I can’t believe no one is doing anything about him being gone! Our client in-take has been low, we have so many cases just sitting unsolved, and people are just sitting on their asses doing nothing since our structure is gone!” The nullist started, irritation growing each second. “We might have been weak after the Decay of Angels and the Hunting Dogs tried to drag us through the mud, but Kunikida was the main one who got us out of it and cleared our name. Is this how we are going to thank him, Fukuzawa?”

One hurdle of the day complete.
Entering yet another year of college, Kunikida finds himself suddenly caring for two children from the slums. And most importantly, learning just how parents are able to manage the bad with the tender good.

Odasaku and him hadn’t been married for long, so when they had turned in for the night, it had shocked Ango immensely when his husband suddenly muttered under his breath, “I want a kid.”The first time the couple had met Dazai, he was a quiet fourteen-year old boy with bandaids that littered all over his soft skin. They were surprised when they found out Dazai came with some “precautions” and were asked if they were really sure if they wanted to adopt Dazai.
They didn’t quite get why Dazai was a handful. But they soon understood why as time went by as bits and pieces of Dazai’s personality began to reveal.
