“Whatever, point is you're guilty as charged,” Cage murmurs, that cat-with-cream smile clear in his voice. “What are you wearing, Jake from StateFarm?”
“A t-shirt and briefs,” Kenshi answers automatically, before he realizes it’s more charged than it needs to be, and none of Johnny’s business. His brows slam together, and he shakes his head. It shouldn’t be that big a deal. Maybe it’s just something about knowing a man by the shape of his armor and gleam of his sword that makes pajamas feel so exposed, even across an ocean, unseen.
“No Star Wars Underoos?” Johnny’s voice finally breaks through, clear and resonant, and he chuckles.
