Summary
Eva Stratt falls in love with Ilyukhina, but doesn’t get to tell her before the launch, so she lives with the guilt. Eva is hallucinating of Oleysa, and had chronic depression: doesn’t get out of bed, doesn’t eat much, tried to keep it a secret. But her hallucinations are making her do things to herself, and scream hurtful things. After messing up her brain, her coworkers notice her reports are nonsense and send help. Her bodyguards. So they call help, Eva is in the hospital-induced coma- and later on transferred to a psych ward. The beetles finally arrive, but others had already taken care of the problem, so it’s useless. She loses speech, and is stuck using an AAC device.
