“I must have loved you a lot.” He whispered finally, not letting go of Jing Yuan’s hand. “My lungs barely manage to breathe and my chest is getting so tight when I do as little as gaze at you.” The bright pupils glowed. “Was I good to you?”
“You were more than good.” Jing Yuan reassured him and closed his eyes. “But… you deserved better, look what I’ve allowed to happen.” After a moment he heard a small whisper.
“Did you love me?”
“I still do.” Jing Yuan’s voice cracked at the end of the sentence.
“Then that’s more than I could ask for.” Dan Heng pulled on the general’s hand and nicked his skin to grab some attention. “Please. Don’t leave for the night.”

Summary
Dan Heng does not dream.
The moment his egg had cracked, he had seen the clear reflection of the light that the artificial sun produced hitting the water he was surrounded by. His eyes glanced up at it, as if in a daze, no matter how much it stung.

Dan Heng, since his hatching rebirth, always had a special place to retreat to. One where two figures who called themselves Long and Yaoshi, as well as what looked like an older version of himself, rested, looking after him in their own, very distinct, way.
Despite their weird existence, even after learning what they were named after, he did his best and tried to weave his own fate without letting them lend a hand.
However, when a Stellaron burst occurs in the Luofu and the Astral Express comes to help, weird things seem to start happening around Dan Heng, making him uncover more and more mysteries regarding the entities living in his head, each weirder than the last.
