Summary
It's the sight of Izuku thumbing angry tears from his eye that Katsuki is greeted to when he returns, stepping through his portal the same way that he left.
Izuku jumps up from where he'd been on his hands and knees as he sorted through his bag one last time, and he /sees/ how Katsuki's eyes go wide as he looks at the empty space where his walls should be.
And he sees how they narrow as they focus on Izuku.
More specifically, Izuku's new wounds. The bruise on his hip, the pitchfork puncture wounds, the ash-darkened tusk where someone had tried to set /him/ on fire before they aimed at his house instead.
By the time Katsuki has surveyed him from head to toe, he's /trembling/ with rage. The light of his skin, usually only brought out by the pleasure that Izuku brings him, now blooms and burns at Izuku's retinas as if he'd been forced to open his eyes to the sun itself.
"Kacchan…"
"What /happened/?"

Or: as an Oni, Izuku has a relatively quiet life on the outskirts of a human village... until the humans think he's kidnapped their beloved deity, Katsuki. If only they knew just how much Katsuki cherished his Oni.

Summary
At first, Katsuki really thought she’d lost her mind. She stood in her doorway and gaped at them both, looking dumbly back and forth — from Deku, to Deku, and back again.
“Hi, Kacchan,” said the one on the left.
So if this was a hallucination it was both auditory and visual. Fucking fantastic.
She wasn’t quite seeing double, because the two Dekus didn’t look the same. One of them — the one she recognised as her Deku — was wearing his uniform and shuffling from foot to foot, wearing an expression somewhere between embarrassment and blind panic. The other was clearly bigger — not much taller, but he was broad, with wide shoulders and thick thighs. His hair was windswept, and he was wearing a getup that Katsuki had never seen before. It was clearly a version of Deku’s hero costume — the iron soles, the arm braces, the stupid bunny ear mask were all there — but the details and colours were off. His clothes were slightly scuffed up, dirt on his knees and dust coating his visor, and he was staring at Katsuki with a comical look of awe on his face.
“Okay,” Katsuki said, her eyes travelling back over to her Deku again, “what the fuck?”
He smiled sheepishly. “Can we come in?”
