Summary
Cloud somehow makes it into the brand new Pre-SOLDIER training Academy, and he lands Sephiroth as his mentor despite his poor performance. Sephiroth doesn't exactly welcome him with open arms, but he can't seem to stay away for too long either.
That doesn't mean he intends to have anything to do with actually mentoring Cloud, though.

God, this was so heart-breaking. I cried every chapter! Every single one. But in a good way. Okay, not in a good way but this fic just makes you feel so much and understand things, about people, that I didn't before. It definitely isn't as light-hearted as the description. Harry is just so tragic and precious, I want to protect him. It's very introspective, sometimes nearly passive in the time that goes past, but that structure and Harry's internal monologue and the progression of his desperate hope to resignation is tear-wrenching.

Phenomenal Writing!!! The prose is just so lyrical and even though the details and poetic descriptions should be too much, they just aren't, it's incredible. It takes canon and runs off with it, extending it far beyond and into something else. Read, read, read!!!
