Natalie just gives him a deadpan look at that, shoves his shoulder with one of her feet, making him wince. “Because I care about you both, asshole. I wanna know you’re good. It’s never been like this between you guys before. You fight yeah but, there’s always been a rhythm.”
A pause comes and Carmy spends the entirety of it praying that’s the end of it. Of course, he’s never been that lucky.
