Summary
The battle of Hogwarts is over and Hermione Granger is ready to take a well-deserved break when she is suddenly flung back in time. She promptly gives a much younger Dumbledore all the information he could possibly need to locate and destroy the horcruxes, and hopefully halt Voledmort's rise to power. She kindly declines his request for further assistance, she hasn’t even completed her N.E.W.T.s yet! She is soon attending classes alongside Harry’s parents and the Marauders yet feeling very alone. She can’t tell anyone the truth of herself, or can she?
Perhaps it would be safe to confide in someone with a natural talent for Occlumency, an accomplished liar who could spy for both sides but would ultimately be on the side of light? Yet this Severus Snape is not the accomplished Potions Master she once knew and trusted. She decides to strike a deal with him, and they come to an accord, secrecy for each of them, Occlumency lessons for her, and revenge against the Marauders for him. Hermione supposes revenge isn’t a very heroic, Gryffindor thing to do but she has always been good at making plans, and really, if the school administration won’t punish a bunch of bullies then taking it into their own hands is only practical. -

Since the second war, a growing concern was that the Ministry was slowly being controlled by a loyal group of devoted Voldemort followers. With easy manipulation and galleons, the Marriage Law Act was passed for any unwed Muggle-born witch under the age of 35 be petitioned for union with a Pure-Blood to ensure the magical line passes on, due to a rising number of squibs born to Pure-blood parents. Voldemort may have been destroyed, but his followers remain loyal and hopeful. As a member of the Order of the Phoenix, you take a vow to protect your fellow comrades, even if that means sacrificing your own happiness. Sirius was the only one available to take on the task of marrying Hermione, to ensure her protection, while the Order works to reverse the law and the marriage can be annulled. For now, they need to play the part, be convincing and stay vigilant at all times...
