Summary
For a while, he hated him. Hated him for leaving, hated him for not saying goodbye, hated him for being there when he wasn't going to stay. He hated Buck because he loved him, and it wasn't enough, just like it wasn't enough for his mom.
Then came the day of the funeral, and Christopher saw his Buck's face so still, so wrong, and he broke down crying against his father's legs. He tried to be quiet, tried to be good and strong for his dad, but Buck was dead.
