Summary
A plan to journey to the Elvenking's Halls and invite Legolas for a short vacation in Lothlorien goes awry and leaves Haldir stuck in Mirkwood with the last person he wanted to spend two weeks with, haughty King Thranduil. Thranduil has his own problems, because he had discovered a kinslayer poisoning Elves in the Woodland Realm.
Very very naughty. Not for the faint of heart, or those under 18yo.

Summary
When Tauriel is banished from the Woodland Realm for threatening the King, Thranduil likens her to a young bird who has fallen out of the nest, but rather than curling up and dying of grief or feeling sorry for herself, Tauriel dusts herself off and learns how to soar like an eagle. Thranduil doesn't anticipate just how well, or how far, Tauriel will fly. Legolas stays away from the Elvenking's Halls by choice. Both he and Tauriel have much to learn before either has a chance at a happy ending.
This story starts immediately after the last Hobbit movie and continues through the LOTR trilogy and beyond.
