Summary
His hand finds my chin; two fingers cradle it gently. As if he kneels at a pew, head bent, heart laid open.
“Look at me."
He does not drag my face upward. He leaves me the choice.
And what I find there is a home I forgot I ever lived in - the curtains, the wallpaper: yellow with dancing flowers flecked across its belly, a garden with a swing, a sink filled with a life halved. I find the key I lost long ago, to a door I spent years searching for. A door the exact colour of his eyes.
When I open it… it sounds like his laugh.
POMEGRANATE is a LONG fic charting Sirius Black and Remus Lupin's lives from 1979-1988. It is not a Slow Burn in the conventional sense, but the structure means you'll have the ending before you have the middle, and the middle before you have the beginning. It's not told out of order to be clever. It's told out of order because that's the only way it can be remembered.
Diversion from canon in that Remus grows up in Glasgow, with his parents both alive, and he and Sirius meet properly as adults, not at Hogwarts. There's a reason for that too. Otherwise, it’s canon-compliant, with a few deliberate swerves.

Summary
Draco Malfoy is eleven years old the first time he asks if he'll ever be wanted, and it takes him six years to gather the courage to ask again.
Sixth year; a Vow he cannot break; a Cabinet he cannot stop mending; a task carved with Dumbledore's face attached to it. None of it was supposed to leave room for anything else...
Harry was supposed to be watching Malfoy. He is. He has also begun to see the boy beneath...tired, cornered, quietly drowning in a war he never chose. And somewhere between a shared detention and a locked bathroom door, watching became something else entirely.
Something neither of them has a word for yet.
A slow-burn retelling of The Half-Blood Prince, except this time, Draco is not alone in the dark.
Time knows how this ends. It does not know what it costs. And that only makes what is coming harder to survive.
Some boys are forged into blades.
This one only ever wanted to be held.
