"What is it you want?" he pushes back. There are always consequences with Cass. Always repercussions and unseen costs. And Brasso needs to know if he can afford to let this happen.
Cass nips his lower lip between his teeth and gives a little snort of amusement. "I'm just curious. You're not curious?" His fingers tighten, clutching folds of Brasso's vest, digging into the flesh beneath.
Curious barely covers it, Brasso thinks.

Instead, his eyes dropped half-lidded to Brasso’s lips as he tensed in his arms like a loth-cat the moment before the pounce. There was a half beat, half breath, for Brasso to realize what was about to happen. He did nothing to stop it.

K-2SO is quite good at calculations, and also very good at protecting Cassian Andor. He's just slightly lacking in the ability to understand odd phrases of speech, which is unfortunate, given how often organics like Cassian tend to use them. But there's 99.999% chance he'll keep processing the expressions until he does, because understanding Cassian matters a great deal to K-2SO. Perhaps, in fact, more than anything else.

"You are not shooting me."There's a large crack running down the droid's torso, exposing wires and leaking some mechanical fluid. There's a hole, the familiar round and charred hole left by blasterfire, in its left shoulder. One of its arms is lying on the floor on the other side of the room.
"You're not a threat," Cassian finds himself saying. He should be leaving, should have got the hell out of there as soon as the droid showed signs of life - if the droid is functional enough for speech it's functional enough to alert its allies - but something is keeping him rooted to the spot.
That feeling, maybe. Trusting his gut hasn't got him killed yet.
