Summary
Everyone knows the First Order is built upon the blood, sweat, and tears of the young and ambitious. And within the First Order, there are two ways the young blood climb their way up the ranks. They can either slit a few throats in pursuit of power (or so the rumors go concerning General Hux).
Or the new Academy Graduates can find themselves a..."mentor." A higher ranking officer to sponsor and guide them through the First Order. In exchange for favors, of course.

Summary
It's common knowledge among the flight attendants at First Order Airlines that Brendol Hux is not one to be trifled with. The man demands perfection in every respect. From the uniforms of his crew, to the punctuality of service, Hux's world revolved around perfection in the imperfect and ever changing world of travel. He ran his planes with an iron fist, and damn it if Hux's efforts didn't make First Order Airlines the best airlines to fly.
And if Hux has a not-so-perfect obsession with reading and rereading the ongoing works of author Kylo Ren, well...no one needs to know (besides Phasma, of course)
But when Hux one day runs into his secret favorite author, and the man is perhaps the neediest passenger he's ever faced, his perfect life hits turbulence.

Hob gets stood up in 1989. Amidst his hurt and confusion, he has one thing clear: if his Stranger wants to be like that, to leave him alone and dispose of him as if 600 years of knowing each other is nothing? Fine. He can go right ahead.
But his Stranger is not going to have the last word, not this time. Even if he has to track him down himself to make it so.
Who would have thought that tracking him would be so hard?
Or: Hob fucks around, and finds out. Eventually.

When Dream enters the New Inn he is not expecting to see Joanna Constantine, practitioner of magic and the spitting image of her forebear, with her head bowed over a short tumbler of amber liquid. He has not seen her since she assisted him in obtaining his sand. And it is not that he is unhappy to see her per se, but she is sitting in Hob’s usual seat.
Even more unexpected, is the wet sheen over her eyes when she looks up at him. “Dream,” her voice actually cracks on his name and that is when he knows that something is extremely, extraordinarily wrong. “It’s Robbie.”
