Summary
“Dean, where do you think you’re going?”
The voice from behind him seemed to come from his darkest nightmares. Gods, it still sounded the same. Low, nasally, and his name full of want.
Dean was used to being wanted in a way, used to his looks and his power being enough to make people look at him and desire if they knew.
It wasn’t want for him though. He wasn’t sure anyone had ever wanted Dean just for Dean before.Or.
Dean has always hated the curse of his last name.
As one of the few Familiars born with the level of power Dean has, he has been on the run for years from the one who wishes to force him into a bond that he has no interest in. When he is forced once again to escape before that fate is forced on him, a pull that he can't explain lands him right on the doorstep of the first person Dean has ever met who seems to want him for who he is, not what he can give them.
However one who hunts Dean will not be easily stopped, and it will threaten everything Dean is trying to build.

Summary
“Naruto is a person with a name,” Iruka snapped, already way past the limit of his patience for the day. Funny, how he could spend all day with small children, but a single council meeting wore him down to the bone. “Use it.”
“Hmm.”
For a long second, Iruka thought that he was about to die. And then Hatake’s eye curled in a friendly crinkle, an approximation of a smile.
“You’ll do,” Hatake said.*** 5 times Kakashi & Iruka tried to be a normal family for Naruto + 1 time they were a full on ninja family ***

Summary
In his twenty-seven years, Iruka has learned many useful things: how to know when you're being cheated, what alleys not to use as shortcuts, and which shopkeepers wouldn't take your hand if you lifted their goods. He’s also learned that the world hates orphans, and luck favors the wealthy. Besieged by debts and having nowhere else to turn, Iruka enters a tournament where common folk can earn the chance to marry into a noble family. He didn't expect a one-night-stand with a noble to turn into something more, nor did he expect to do well in the tournament.
Now, an entirely different problem presents itself: Iruka doesn't want to marry Prince Kakashi; he wants to marry his noble-born lover, Sukea.

Summary
When a badly burnt body wearing Iruka's dog tags is found just inside Fire Country's borders, Tsunade demands answers. Kakashi's tags are a heavy weight against Iruka's chest as he tells her about the relationship they've kept hidden for years, the one he'll have to start referring to in the past tense.
It isn't until he gets home that he notices something engraved on the charred metal of his tags: a coded, one-word message meant just for him. It's the only clue he has, not much to go on, but that won't stop him from doing everything he can to bring Kakashi safely home.

Summary
It could have been any number of things, really, that caused Hatake Kakashi to punch out the glass of Umino Iruka’s bedroom window at three in the morning and drag his half-dead carcass, blood pouring from his skin like sweat, across the ledge to collapse at the foot of the bed like a dog.

Bookmarker's Notes
Good story, creator seemed to really grasp the "emotionally constipated" Kakashi we all know and love. I would tag this story very differently so I'm adding a few tags - that last chapter isn't mature - and I was really taken back by the slap and choke and scrolled back up thinking I missed some tags. Chapter ten is a preview for another story - interesting to do that! I know published books do that sometimes.
