Summary
Wouldn't it be fucked up if Makoto survived the execution thanks to Alter Ego, just to die when he slammed into the concrete floor with a desk on top of him in the trash pit?
Wouldn't it be super fucked up if, when Kyoko went down to retrieve him from the trash pit, still believing he was alive, telling herself he had to have survived because she couldn't be responsible for his death, she just found him dead beneath a desk? Don't you think that would exacerbate the guilt she felt for getting him voted as the blackened so much?
Wouldn't it be fucked up if Byakuya went with her because he had a change of heart and wanted to help her end the killing game by proving the mastermind violated their own rules, just to find their one beacon of hope dead?

Summary
rerandomized version of the events of the killing school trip on Jabberwock Island! I'm a big lover of Protag Mahiru, and this was largely inspired by a short comic I made on my tumblr (bronze-and-silver-keys)
A small piece of paper was floating along the surface of the water, growing darker as it began to sink into the depths. Mahiru dropped to her knees at the edge of the docks and shot her hand into the water to grab it, ignoring the sting of splinters on her knees.
Cradling it with both hands, she laid it out on the dock, careful to keep it from tearing. The ink was runny and hard to read, but there was a message written on the fragile paper:
‘The killing game will begin tonight.’
Mahiru’s blood ran cold, and the sudden gust of wind didn’t help the way her body shook at reading the message. She tried to shove down the panic building in her chest. This had to be some trick from Monokuma. He planted this to scare someone into making the first move. She wasn’t going to believe this. -

Summary
They couldn't see him. They couldn't see Kokichi, so why the hell could she? Her gaze drifted to Shuichi. The cause of death couldn't be said for sure. Not even Monokuma knew what it was, so they had no way to tell if Kokichi died from the poison or the hydraulic press. Monokuma was just relying on Shuichi's deductions to get through this class trial, and his deductions pointed to Kaito being the guilty party. It pointed to Kaito being the next to die. And Shuichi wasn't exactly the perfect detective. He was an apprentice. He could make mistakes and he could be wrong.
The moment Kokichi noticed her watching him, the gears started turning in his head, and he came to the same conclusion she had. A fire returned to his eyes and he nodded, smiling as he mouthed one simple sentence to her: ‘Do it.’
“Kaito's not the culprit.” Maki gripped the rail of her podium tight, her knuckles turning white. The courtroom fell silent and all eyes, including Kokichi's, were trained on her.
“Maki,” Shuichi finally broke the silence. “Everything we talked about until this point–”
“Kaito's not the culprit,” she shouted, slamming her hands against the rail. “I killed Kokichi!” -

Summary
A rewrite of V3 based on the idea that it the kids we see in V3 are class 79, the first class to attend the academy after being rebuilt by the survivors from DR1.

“Oh, right,” Monotaro chimes in. “He’s gotta explain the rules. What fun is a game without rules?”
“No fun at all!” A disembodied voice echoes throughout the gym, causing heads to whip back and forth to find the source.
At the far wall of the gym, something springs up from behind the podium on the stage, twisting and flipping in the air before landing on top of it with arms outstretched, like a gymnast nailing a landing. It’s another one of the strange little bears, one half white, and the other black with a sharp, glowing red eye and a menacing grin.
“Welcome, welcome, boys and girls,” it greets in a high voice, imitating a cartoon character meant for children. “Allow me to take a moment to spell out just exactly how your school lives will be from now on here at Hope’s Peak Academy. The sixteen of you will live out the rest of your lives here within the confines of this academy. No one in, no one out, unless…” It suddenly breaks into boisterous, maniacal laughter. “You sacrifice one of your classmates!” -

In an instant, I was met with a freezing concrete floor. Dense stone walls closed in around me, trapping me in a suffocating box I could barely fit in. A flickering flashlight lay at my feet, barely illuminating the room. Among the darkness, vines crept along the walls of the stone, trailing back to where I was curled up. I reached out, my hand trembling, and brushed my fingertips against the vines...

A motion from the corner of my eye drew my attention. Sitting on the wall before me was a mirror, displaying a reflection that didn’t seem entirely human. My once vibrant eyes were cold and void of any life. A deep scar ran along my forehead like a crown of thorn. Deep black hair spilled like ink to the ground around me. Every muscle in my body tightened as I forced myself to meet the gaze of the beast staring back at me, and my body felt like shattering glass as it finally processed.
Is that... me? That’s not...
“That’s not me!”

Summary
Kaito hates Kokichi… but he hates the killing game even more. In the cold, cavernous Exisal hangar, Kaito stares into the poison-fevered eyes of the Ultimate Supreme Leader and makes a decision: the killing game is over. He will not kill Kokichi. He will not drop the press and entomb this child inside the killing game he claims to despise. So, Kaito comes up with a plan to save Kokichi’s life, but to pull it off, the two of them will have to work together inside the Exisal, trick Monokuma into reaching a false verdict, and end the class trial before Kokichi succumbs to the Strike-9 poison.
