Summary
“Do you have any idea how much he lives for your approval!?” His voice climbs higher and higher, etching closer into the rat’s space without care or fear. He doesn’t give him a second chance to answer him before his voice is once again filling the void left there between the pair.
“Of course you don’t,” he sneers, something icy crowding his words now, “because you hardly listen to us.”
Mikey shrinks away, blinking, he allows his tears to cascade down his face. Heart wobbling about in his chest he can’t find any words to rise up within him, all having sunk to the bottom of his gut with the rest of his long forgotten courage.
Raph takes another calculated step closer, lowering his voice with a weaponized sharpness. “Like you don’t even love us at all.”
There’s the sharp crack of Splinter’s cane slamming against the ground and Mikey flinches backwards, eyes blinking more tears that roll down his cheeks, he brings his hands up to flatten against his chest, hoping to quell some of the ache that blossoms hotly there.
“Yame!” Splinter barks angrily. But Raph can match that, and then some.

Summary
He’s pinned on his front, his shell having taken most of the hit, Donnie can’t see much of the damage but there’s a thin line of red slick against his shoulder, a paper cut really. Nothing too noticeable. Nothing too frightening.
“Stay there,” Donnie tells him. Not the smartest choice of words, and Mikey must realise that too. He doesn’t make his usual remark that he’d usually poke him with, but he laughs, all air rushing out of him at once, his eyes sliding shut ever so slowly.
“Hey.” Donnie places a hand on his shoulder. He had a bruise forming around his wrist, a little puffy and swollen and suddenly now that he’s seeing it, he feels the pain creep in. A bad sprain, most likely. But he doesn’t let that falter him. He nudges his brother and watches as his eyelids flicker back open again.
“Hey,” he says again once he has half his attention now. “Don’t go to sleep. Stay awake, hm? I’m gonna try and call the others, okay? See if they can get us outta here.”

Summary
Mikey takes the rest of the eggs out of the bowl that sits beside the stove. The only ones they have left. And he pitches his arm back and drives them into the wall with the rest of the mess.
A bit of shell goes bouncing off Leo’s shoulder and all three pause to look up.
Mikey has found his tears again. They’re wet and hot and streaming down the sides of his face in thick rivulets, along with the snot that’s smeared across his top lip, and the way each desperate breath comes ripped between his teeth.
“Just. Stop,” he says between a sob. It shakes him and he throws another egg. It hits the wall with almost perfect aim. “I can’t take this anymore,” he tells them. More tears bleed from him, and another egg goes whooshing through the air. This one doesn’t make it as far as the wall, falling short and cracking open against the floor beside Raphael’s feet.
“Pl– please,” he hiccups. Each breath seems harder and harder. Like an egg, he feels cracked apart. He leans against the counter, the remaining eggs in his grasp slip from his hands and land in sticky puddles by his feet. He slumps downwards, landing heavy against the floor. “I can’t—” he sucks in a breath that doesn’t come. “Oh god, I can’t—”
