Summary
The seelies weren't the only thing that changed after the bar incident as Diluc did as well. They still kept their rules in public: Keeping on the familiar show of constantly butting heads, acting like everything was normal and there wasn’t anything a bit more romantic going on, but things were different in private. Diluc had taken his comments to heart even if they were just offhand teasings, and he made sure he was always giving Kaeya the attention he deserved. He was more cuddly now, and he usually made sure Kaeya was somewhere in arms reach so he could touch him even if it was something as chaste as holding hands.
When Kaeya has to leave without him on a trip to Dragonpsine and Diluc has to watch their seelies constantly love each other, he starts to question what he really wants out of his relationship with Kaeya.
(Or: Diluc and Kaeya accidentally teach their seelies how to fuck and it’s causing problems.)
